Co-Intend

Leadership Journey

Leading from the Center - with Deep Democracy and Theory U

Encouraged by the many inquiries following our trainings, we have decided to finally launch our “Co-Intend Leadership Journey” as a year-long training program in 2026.The program offers the opportunity to engage deeply with the cultivation of one’s own leadership stance. This includes, among other aspects, the ability to perceive social processes and to shape growth and transformation from them.If you are interested, please feel free to contact us directly.

More Information

Co-Intend Leadership Journey
You know the scenario: Decisions that get revisited in the next meeting. Conflicts that simmer until they boil over. The pressure of holding everything together - while running on empty yourself.
Leadership means living with tension. The question isn't whether it will show up, but how you'll meet it.
The Co-Intend Leadership Journey is a year dedicated to you. A year to relearn leadership - from the inside out. You'll develop inner stability, deepen your capacity for connection, and gain hands-on tools for group dynamics, decision-making, and conflict. You'll practice reading groups, catching resistance early, and shaping decisions that everyone can stand behind.
Leading from the center means both: from your own center - with clarity and presence. And from the center of your team, your organization - not top-down, but together.
By the end of this year, you'll lead differently: calmer, clearer, more connected. You'll know how to stay grounded in the heat of the moment - and how to turn tension into growth.
You won't walk this path alone. A small group of leaders will accompany you through the year - people who share similar questions and with whom real connection develops.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This journey is for you if you hold leadership responsibility - in a social organization, a school, or a company - and sense that you need more than management tools.

This is the right fit if you:

  • are an experienced leader ready to take your leadership to a new level
  • are a newer leader who wants to lead in a way that's both human and effective
  • are searching for deeper meaning and purpose in your work
  • know Theory U and want to deepen it and put it into practice
  • know Deep Democracy and want to integrate the tools into a broader process
  • are trained in mindfulness and want to bring those skills more fully into daily action
  • are ready to start with yourself

What You'll Learn

  • You'll develop inner stability - the ability to stay grounded, even in turbulent times.
  • You'll deepen your relational capacity: deep listening, compassion, gratitude.
  • You'll learn to trust your team and make wiser decisions together - decisions that everyone can get behind.
  • You'll learn to read groups: spotting resistance early, sensing thresholds, and working with what you find.
  • You'll learn to step into conflict with courage and hold your ground in the fire. Growth happens at the edges - at points of tension and resistance. When you can hold that space, transformation becomes possible.
  • You'll create an open organizational culture where people feel safe, where mistakes are allowed, and where every voice is heard.
  • You'll gain deep, practical knowledge of the Theory U process and Deep Democracy methods.

THE PATH

The journey follows Otto Scharmer's U process - woven together with Deep Democracy and mindfulness. We begin with sensing: ourselves, the group, the organization. Then we go deeper - letting go, becoming still, opening to what wants to emerge. And finally: taking hold of the new and shaping it together.

THE MODULES

Module 1: Setting Out (Co-Initiating)

Laying the groundwork for the shared journey. Forming an intention that can carry us. We sharpen our perception and discover the group as a learning field. What do we bring? What do we want to explore together? First Deep Democracy tools for decision-making.

Module 2: Sensing (Co-Sensing)

Seeing the organization with fresh eyes. Shifting perspectives, deepening listening. We learn to use all our senses for perception - including our own feelings and intuitions. Reading groups: Where's the resistance? Where are the thresholds? What's going unspoken? Introduction to Deep Democracy diagnostic tools.

Module 3: Going Deeper (Presencing)

Stepping out of the everyday. Experiencing nature as a source of strength and inspiration. Holding space together - and observing what wants to come. Letting go of what no longer serves. Finding clarity in stillness. Deep group processes with Deep Democracy.

Module 4: Taking Action (Crystallizing / Prototyping)

Taking hold of the new and shaping it together. Growth happens at points of tension and resistance. We learn to step into conflict with courage and hold our ground in the fire. Shaping decisions that everyone can stand behind. Collective will-forming, collective action. Conflict.

Module 5: Integration (Implementing)

Embodying what you've learned and bringing it into your own practice. You'll present your final project and reflect on your journey through the year. Together we celebrate what has emerged and look ahead.
